A mouse in the country on a farm wants to be a dancer in the city , he enjoys dancing and wants to make it big on Broadway. He runs off and finds life in the big city difficult and to make rent meet he gets a job at a local tavern where the alley cats hang out a local gang. He gets caught up in a gang war between those who plan to eliminate the mayor's daughter, who the mouse falls in love with their plan being the mayor would have to give them control of the city.
